This game was made for the GMTK Game Jam 2023 (Submission Page).

Welcome to The Chest Had Enough, a heart-pounding battle against a relentless computer-controlled cursor determined to click on you. As you navigate around, the cursor not only summons formidable enemies but also threatens to ensnare you forever in an eternity of clicks. Can you outmanoeuvre and outwit this digital menace before it seals your fate and ultimately having fun beating your highscore over and over again?

Controls

• Move with WASD
• Shoot with the mouse using left click
• Dash with the spacebar
• Use the key [2] to shoot bombs at enemies

Upgrades

• Sword -> more Damage
• double Arrow -> increased Fire Rate
• bomb bag -> get bombs | you can shoot bombs, by toggling them using the key [2]
• coin bag -> shoot more coins
• single coin -> get 1 to 5 coins

Known Bugs

Listed below are some bugs in this version of the game:

• The cursor attacks really fast, when you change directions quickly (e.g. by spamming [wasd]) and
• The cursor attacks really fast, when you run against walls.
  Both are preventable, make sure to not spam [wasd] while the cursor clicks on you and either try to run away or try to use your dash with the [spacebar]
